Trainscape

An app on my ‘Fruit-based Device‘ I’ve enjoyed for a few years now has been Slow Shutter as it allows you to make long exposures on an iPhone. It also does a thing called ‘light trails’ which records the current state of light in a given scene and, depending upon your settings, it will record any additional movements in that scene; lighter objects or shapes always overwrite dark shapes much like ‘normal’ photography.

I’ve experimented with flashes among other things with this app for a while now with, on some level, mixed but always interesting results (my sad selfie album has a few examples).

On a trip to Aberdeen back in May this year I gave it a go on the train journey there and back essentially scanning the landscape out the window of the train, below is a small gallery of those images.
