Here’s something I’ve only just managed to discover; Freelensing. Freelensing is when you take your DSLR or SLR camera and detach the lens from the mount with the camera still switched on.

It allows you to make interesting looking pictures especially super macro shots without using a macro lens, of course you will have to make sure your DSLR can function without the lens locked in place. There’s also the increased possibility of damaging the sensor so you have to be careful. Here’s some more accurate info on Freelensing by Luke Roberts.
